i was talking to my mom yesterday about milk, and at one point the topic moved to how calcium has been proven to help with losing weight. i had forgotten all about that study and figured i'd share it here, while it was still in my brain.
so yeah, just as an fyi, studies HAVE shown that people who consume skim milk (and other non-fat calcium products) on a daily basis, lose weight at a faster rate than those who don't. But because calcium is a mineral that is unfortunately difficult for our bodies to absorb, remember to take vitamin D with your calcium consumption - to optimize its affects.
it's actually quite fascinating just how much calcium benefits nearly every part of our bodies. or, on the other end of this spectrum, how the lack of it affects us just as much, but negatively.
