Tea vs Coffee

so i've started doing the green tea thing! and i'm liking it! not much different than regular as far as i'm concerned. still want to look around and try different types, though. Tazo Zen, you say? *mental note made*  yeah, so thanks for enlightening me, peeps!  still hopelessly devoted to my coffee, though. not ready to even TRY to sever THAT emotional bond yet. baby steps... baby steps...  :)

PJ!! got the TAZO ZEN!! love it, my sista! so does the gang! thanks so much for the suggestion!
Frisky...I KNEW you would like it and if you Google for information, you will be amazed at all the benefits of green tea.....Prevention Magazine had a whole article on the benefits.....so glad I finally found something that is so easy and so good :-)  and could share with my fellow Shellan !

I have been drinking green tea more then coffee. Coffee upsets my stomach so I can not drink it that much and I love green tea.
If you ever tire of Tazo, try genmaicha.

Genmaicha is green tea leaves with roasted brown rice. It has a wonderful aroma that just warms you right up. Personally, it also spurrs my appetite because the roasted rice smells absolutely delicious!
interesting! i'm assuming this alternative to tea isn't sold at regular grocery stores? sounds intriguing. but ah.... that "spurring the appetite" thing? *grimaces at thought* yeah.....  i ah... yeah, i dunno if that's such a good idea for me. LOLOL!!!!
Hehe. The scent is just irresistable to me. There are a lot of memories that I associate with it. Also, it is a type of green tea, not something entirely different.

It should be available at an Asian grocer if your nearest supermarket does not carry it.

I just have to say that even though I originally posted this in November, I think I have finally kicked the coffee habit. I am only on day 12, but so far, so good. It's not easy, especially when my housemate is constantly going to starbucks. I have switched to green tea and I am enjoying it. And, after 8 days of no lattes or mochas, I had lost 2lbs! Obviously, I'm not relying on giving up coffee as my only means of weight loss, but it was one thing I really wanted to give up. Hopefully, I can stick to this once school starts up again, but by then I will have gone 5 weeks without coffee, so I think I will be ok. Just wanted to share!

I think that's great Megan! I've also given up caffeine - except for a rare cup or two... And I feel SO much better! I've lost a few pounds but I just feel so much healthier without the caffeine.
